My grandpa was known as a man of his word. Hand shakes used to be as good as a legal written contract.
Numbers 30 reminds us that God desires that our word be honorable.
Numbers 30:2 ESV
If a man vows a vow to the Lord, or swears an oath to bind himself by a pledge, he shall not break his word. He shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth.
So how honorable are your vows, promises and commitments? To your spouse, children, family, friends, boss, teacher, professor, neighbor or more importantly...God?
