Teaching Moments
Have you ever had one of those teaching moments with your children or a friend that you let slip right through your fingers? Isaiah 28:10, 13 says line upon line, precept upon precept. It is a lot easier to get frustrated, and maybe even say things we regret later, than being willing to address the circumstance with a Godly attitude and capture a potential teaching moment. Monday morning God reminded me of this very thing as I became frustrated, and He had to capture the moment for me. One of my daughters, who is not a morning person got up late (well I have to take my share of the responcibility, I woke her up 10 min. late), and as result she missed the bus while two of my other children rode off to school. I had just read to my girls, a passage of scripture, as is our morning routine. The passage I read from, Proverbs 22:1 says that a good name and favor is better than silver or gold. Well in the frey I became frustrated, it was messing with my early morning routine, because now I had to take her to school. As we are riding along we began talking and I had cooled off, and I was suddendly hit with the reality that here I was with my precious daughter for 20 minutes, with a golden opportunity for conversation and a teaching moment. WOW, did the Holy Spirit ever make me feel about an inch high. Don't miss teaching moments! Capture every opportunity to give a life principle line upon line and precept upon precept. Teaching moments are provided by God.

Great! It's very convicting to think of all the "missed opportunities", especially when we miss them because we're so wrapped up in ourselves. Thanks for sharing!
