Comfort Anyone?

He Will Wrap You Up!

We discovered in Sundays message from Matthew 5 about spiritual comfort that comes when we sorrow over sin.  There are also times when we need comfort because of the "stuff" of life.  I love who God is...the God of all comfort.  But added to His supernatural ability to comfort is the fact that He allows us to endure hardships so that we can in turn comfort others.  Only when we have endured can we fully empathize and sympathize with others who are hurting.

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 AMP

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of sympathy (pity and mercy) and the God [Who is the Source] of every comfort (consolation and encouragement), Who comforts (consoles and encourages) us in every trouble (calamity and affliction), so that we may also be able to comfort (console and encourage) those who are in any kind of trouble or distress, with the comfort (consolation and encouragement) with which we ourselves are comforted (consoled and encouraged) by God.
